About seven years ago, I wrote an article in my "Abstraktes Artwork" blog that was dealing with perfection. Perfection is, what I am too often tempted to fulfill when going into Plein Air painting and Photography. But the beauty of life and the really surprising things only happen, when I am not concentrated or start to loose contact to what I am doing at a particular moment. My "errors" also say a lot about what just happens in me.
In this case, I worked with my Salut C, an Ex Soviet medium format camera a bit similar to the early Hasselblad cameras. With those cameras, it is possible to swap film magazines. Some idiot proof mechanisms usually prevent the user to forget to insert a so called "Dark Slide" into the film magazine in order to prevent the daylight ruining the film. For some reasons of low concentration and information overload, I managed to insert that idiot proof slide in a wrong manner, which caused a series of light leaks whilst I was trying to solve the issue after removing the magazine. The outcome was a multiple light exposed picture, which inspired me for some colouring.
